SaunaPro: a sauna webshop where the shipping is right and panels are sold per length
SaunaPro sells sauna panels, bench boards, heaters and doors from its shop in Hvittingfoss and to all of Norway. We built a new webshop where customers find the right item quickly, see the shipping before checkout and can work out everything a whole sauna needs.
What we changed
Search first, and departments with item counts
The search field is at the top, and the items are split into five departments that show how many items each has, on phones and computers alike. Panels and bench boards have a price per piece in every length.
Shipping by weight
Heaters, panels and accessories now have a weight, so customers see what shipping costs on the product page already. Delivery is the default, and collection in Hvittingfoss is clearly marked as collection.
A calculator for the whole sauna
The customer enters the room measurements and gets the number of panel boards, bench boards and heaters that suit the size of the room, and can put it all in the cart in one go.
Tidy product texts
The texts were rewritten for more than 870 product pages, with the maker's installation guides where they exist. The front page shows the items customers have actually bought most often in the last year.
Faster pages, and tracking only after consent
The front page loads around a fifth of the data it used to, and the most visited pages show at once. Tracking and the e-mail tool start only once the visitor has said yes.
The result
The customer finds the item by search or department, sees the price per piece and what shipping costs, and pays with Klarna. Someone building a whole sauna gets a shopping list from the room measurements.
The new shop was laid on top of the old one, so orders, customers, gift cards and the items in Google Shopping carried over unchanged. Old addresses send visitors on to the right page. More about webshops.
