Your own rental website, next to Airbnb and Booking.com

We build websites for small rental businesses in Norway with cabins, apartments, rooms or a sauna: an address of your own that guests find and come back to, next to Airbnb and Booking.com.

Businesses in this industry we have worked with

From a search to a paid stay

  1. The guest finds the place

The site shows photos and a map, and the guest books directly or through Airbnb and Booking.com.

  2. The guest pays with Vipps

The amount is reserved while the place is held, and charged when the booking is confirmed.

  3. The confirmation goes out by itself

The guest gets a confirmation and practical information, and you see where bookings come from.

What we can improve

Being found

  • An address of your own for the place

A website with the place’s own name, which guests can find, share and come back to. See visibility on Google and in AI search.

  • Google profile

Photos, location and a link to the website, where that suits the rental. See help with your Google Business Profile.

  • Answers to what guests wonder about

Distance to the ski slope, parking, car charging, pets and bed linen. What guests would otherwise ask about in messages.

Booking and payment

  • Direct booking or a request

A simple request you answer, or a booking where the guest picks the dates and pays straight away.

  • Payment with Vipps

The amount is reserved and charged on confirmation, so you don’t have to handle cards yourself.

  • Calendars that match the platforms

Free dates match across the website, Airbnb and Booking.com. See automation and integrations.

  • Time slots for activities

For a sauna, hot tub or equipment: the guest books a set time, and the place is held while the guest pays.

Less manual work, and measuring

  • Guest information sent automatically

The confirmation and arrival information go out without you writing the same message every time.

  • Measuring direct bookings

How many people book directly, and where they came from, measured with consent. See tracking and ads.

Questions we often get

Should I stop using Airbnb and Booking.com if I get my own website?

No, not for most small rental businesses. The platforms give you visibility that is hard to get on your own. Your own site gives regular guests and people who find you on Google a way in, and over time a larger share can come directly.

How do I avoid double bookings across several channels?

Connect the calendars with calendar links, which both Airbnb and Booking.com support. They update regularly, not instantly, so there is a small window where two people can book the same date. Decide how you will handle that before you open for direct booking.

Can guests pay with Vipps directly on the site?

Yes. Vipps is the Norwegian mobile payment app. The amount is reserved when the guest books and charged when the booking is confirmed. You need a Vipps business agreement, and the money goes straight to you.

What should a rental website include?

Good photos, what is included, the location with a map, free dates and a clear way to book or ask. Also answer what guests always ask about: parking, keys, pets, bed linen and cancellation.

Does this suit a campsite with many pitches and cabins?

Yes, but with many units you usually need a dedicated accommodation booking system that keeps track of everything that is free. The website is connected to it, with pages for the cabins, pitches and facilities, and a book button that goes straight to the right unit. A sauna, hot tub or equipment can get time slots of their own on the website, as Hvittingfoss Badstue has.
