Is your webshop taking payment, and does it show what it should?
Enter your webshop’s address, and in under a minute you see which payment methods customers see, whether what Norwegian law requires is where customers can find it, and whether Google can show your products with a price. We read the front page and up to three pages it links to, and we never open the basket or the checkout.
We read the front page and up to three pages it links to. We never open the basket or the checkout.
What the check looks at
- Which platform the shop uses, and which payment methods are visible.
- Whether the shop uses Vipps Checkout, which closes on 30 April 2027.
- Whether the organisation number, address, e-mail address and VAT registration are visible, as the Norwegian E-commerce Act requires.
- Whether the terms of sale, the right to cancel and delivery are easy to find.
- Whether a product page tells Google the price and stock status.
- Whether tracking starts before the customer has said yes.
- A secure connection, when its certificate expires, and whether the server reports an old software version.
- Whether customers can find a phone number and a contact page.
What the check does not do
It never opens the basket or the checkout, puts nothing in the basket and does not try to pay. So it cannot see whether payment actually goes through. Only a real test purchase shows that.
It only reads pages anyone can see, and stays away from pages the shop has asked search engines and robots not to read.
It is not a legal assessment. It says what we found and did not find on the pages we read. If something is on a page we did not read, we do not see it.
The result is kept for a day, so the same check runs faster.
How to read the result
- The findings are in four groups: payment, what the law says customers must see, Google and measurement, and trust and contact.
- Under each finding you see «What does it mean?» and «How to fix it», so you can pass it on to whoever will do the work.
- We list which pages we read. A finding such as «we did not find» means it was not on those pages.

Send us the findings, and we answer in writing with what we would do first and how we would test it with a real purchase, before any work starts.
